Overview

This role is responsible for long range planning and forecasting.  This position will be the lead liaison to Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Operations and Finance. The Master Scheduler is responsible for the accuracy and the maintenance of the MPS to ensure Production Work Order completion dates align with on time delivery of customer PO delivery dates. The Master Scheduler formulates, maintains, and monitors the execution of the master production schedule which is established based on customer requirements and forecasts, production manufacturing capabilities, and desired inventory levels in alignment with the company's business plan.

Responsibilities

  • Uses MRP to develop the master production schedule necessary to effectively accomplish the goals established by the Business Plan and provide the best service to all customers
  • Coordinates the execution of the master production schedule with all cross functional team members
  • Create capacity requirements and level loading production based upon created capacity in production.
  • Assists management in creating actionable solutions when peaks in demand put level loading at risk including labor hour and machine hour requirements.
  • Create and maintain metrics such as; reporting on one time delivery, order cycle and labor tracking to tool.
  • Prepares information based on current production requirements for use in forecasting and establishing optimal inventory levels
  • Maintains compliance to applicable Company, Corporate, State, and Federal Regulations

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

 

  • Four year degree in supply chain management or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of related master scheduling experience in a low volume, high value, custom configured capital equipment manufacturing environment
  • Experience mananging a team
  • APICS certification preferred

 

Knowledge:

  • Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, standard business practices, and production scheduling methodology.
