Overview

Rudolph Technologies is seeking a dynamic individual to implement and drive our software product development process. We are a seasoned team of software engineers working on leading edge semiconductor manufacturing control technologies. We need a top tier development operations engineer to manage our software production. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Setup and administer essential applications to support software builds, source control, code reviews, specification management and defect tracking
  • Identify, build, and administer robust solutions running on Linux to enhance your team’s overall effectiveness, and quickly learn different toolsets and frameworks for doing so.
  • Install, migrate and administer product test environments in support of internal development and quality activities
  • Manage virtual machines used to develop, manage and test the Rudolph products.
  • Manage the software build process
  • Manage the transmittal of release candidates to QA, Manufacturing, and other internal customers
  • Install and manage product demo systems
  • Actively collaborate with corporate IT to define, support and administer Linux based systems that support the needs of the Rudolph team.
  • Provide backup operational support to corporate IT
  • Select and configure new Linux platforms

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus
  • 5 years minimum experience
  • Fluent in Linux. Able to install and maintain Linux systems. Comfortable in Linux as a home environment.
  • Linux based scripting skills (bash, etc)
  • Ability to configure local area network devices
  • Capable of managing and maintaining a JIRA based ticket-tracking system.
  • Deep knowledge of ClearCase including branching and labeling methodologies
  • Expertise in developing RPM packages.
  • Knowledge of code development tools such as Vim, Eclipse and CodeBlocks.
  • Working knowledge of C++, python, WxWidgets
  • Virtual machine environments such as Oracle Virtual Box
  • A deep understanding of challenges of supporting Linux along with R&D applications running on Linux; plus needing to integrate the Linux environment into a back-office Windows environment.
