  • Overview

    The senior level position provides a technical growth path for application engineers and leverages their experience to be used within the ISG BU. A senior level applications engineer will prove to be the expert on YMS products will be capable of teaching this to other users. This position will work very closely with the fab users to focus on BKMs and use cases within the production/manufacturing environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for training customers how to use the products most effectively
    • Provide primary and advanced applications support for a suite of products and define obstacles preventing a system from operating efficiently
    • Report developments at customer sites back to the ISG Business Unit to help plan product improvements and to help promote future equipment sales
    • Provide feedback to marketing and engineering; report problems and/or suggest enhancements that will make our systems work better
    • Lead major demo efforts to ensure successes that will lead to a sale
    • Recognize and develop strategies to quickly integrate and qualify equipment within fixed deadlines
    • Development action plans for multi-departmental working groups to address customer problems
    • Lead application seminars/technical presentations and present solutions, trends, or general training to a broad Rudolph or customer audience
    • Perform other engineering and market-related duties as needed
    • Identify and create ROI analysis based on the use cases at a particular customer
    • Interface with Systems Integration teams and perform requirements gathering on all new and existing customer deployments

    Qualifications

     

    • 5-7 years experience in a semicnonductor manufacutring environment, Yield experience preferred.
    • Ability to understand and converse in semiconductor processes and yield management

    • Strong skills in understanding of process related defects and parametric loss

    • Experience in yield optimization studies

    • Communicate effectively (in both oral and written forms) with a broad spectrum of technicians, engineers, and executives in diverse areas such as software , Materials Science, and Semiconductor Manufacturing.
    • This position requires an individual to be able to offer customers advice and direction to solve production related problems.
    • This position requires the ability to apply experience to arrive at resolutions to complex problems and issues within a fixed time limit
    • Communicate effectively with customers looking for problems then off solutions to these problems with one or more of our product offerings.
    • Abilility to work unsupervised yet within a team setting
    • This position will require up to 30% travel, including both domestic and international
