  • Overview


    Reporting directly to the Hardware Engineering Manager, as a Co-op/Intern you will have the opportunity to apply knowledge your knowledge of engineering principles in areas related to drafting, documentation, machine design, and analysis for assorted projects in the manufacture of precision photolithography equipment for the IC industry.


    • Work with manufacturing to build and document prototype assemblies. Create assembly procedures to capture design intent and requirements for lithography system sub-assemblies.
    • Create and edit assembly drawings, design layouts, functional block diagrams, interconnect diagrams, wire run lists, wiring diagrams, cable assembly drawings and wire harness drawings.
    • Participate in release reviews for sub-assemblies procedures.
    • Prepare design verification test plans and complete tests.
    • Find replacement parts for obsoleted parts.
    • Create and edit ECNs and BoMs using MRP system.


    • Associates Degree or equivalent progress towards Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
    • Ability to create and modify documents utilizing verbal or written instructions and existing documentation.
    • Ability to read electrical schematics.
    • Capable of using common Microsoft Office tools; Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point
    • Capable of creating bills of materials and drawings for completed assemblies. AutoCAD/Inventer skill is good but not required.
    • Knowledge of commonly used Mechanical/Electrical Engineering concepts, practices and procedures.
    • Ability to create and perform test plans and procedures for new designs.
    • Ability to work with common assembly tools and measurement tools. Machining, PCB rework, or cable fabrication experience is good but not required.
