    The Process Control Group (PCG) is a world leader in the design and manufacture of advanced metrology and optical inspection tools for monitoring of process defects in advanced semiconductor factories around the globe.


    We are seeking a creative Sr. Systems Software Engineer to join our team to develop cutting edge solutions for semiconductor inspection tool platforms. This team is responsible for development of advanced electromechanical systems utilizing optics, robotics, image processing, and control systems. The ideal candidate is customer-oriented, has hands-on experience integrating and debugging complex electromechanical systems and ready to work with other highly skilled, dedicated team members in a fast-paced high-tech environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and maintain efficient, robust software for new and existing inspection systems
    • Quickly analyze and resolve issues reported by internal and external customers
    • Write requirements, functional specifications, solid code and test plans
    • Understand inspection tool platforms and technologies from a systems perspective
    • Identify, recommend and champion innovative product improvements
    • Gain in-depth knowledge of the semiconductor industry
    • Stay current with current software development best practices
    • Demonstrate effective communication skills within a diverse team

     

    Qualifications

    Qualifications:

    • BS/MS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science (exceptional candidates from other fields will also be considered)
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Strongly desired, five (5) or more years of experience:
      • C# and .NET framework
      • Managed/unmanaged C++
      • Design patterns
      • SOLID design principles
      • User-Interface / database development
      • Multi-Threading
      • Unit test frameworks
    • Desired:
      • Ability to read schematics and setup/use electronic test equipment (e.g. logic analyzers)
      • Electromechanical systems, including motion control, SEMI capital equipment a plus
      • Machine vision, image/signal processing
    • Travel domestic/international [<10%]
